  • When in need of a beach – catch a bus to either Pattaya (for a city beach stay) or continue further Trat and then a ferry to Koh Chang (an island near the border of Cambodia). This island is largely uninhabited and is yet to become a tourist mecca, so get there before it is discovered!
  • Catch a plane, train or bus down to southern Thailand – either to Koh Samui, Phuket, Krabi or somewhere else along the coastline and go island-hopping. Stay in bungalows on the beach from $4.00 per day.
  • Hire a long-tail boat and discover wonderful caves and deserted beaches.
  • Join hundreds of other merrymakers at the monthly Full Moon parties on Koh Phang-Ngan.
