Welcome to the September Tuk Tuk Express! The School Holiday is just around the corner if you haven’t decided where to take your kids to – consider Thailand. Thailand is one of the best family destinations in Asia. Thailand ‘s highly popular King’s cup Elephant Polo Tournament returns to Chiang Rai – the Golden Triangle, from March 31 – April 6, 2008. To officially launch the tournament, Anantara Resorts will host a kick-off match at the ground of the ‘1st Infantry Regiment king’s own Bodyguard’, in Vipavadi Rangsi, Bangkok. A fitting location for the king’s Cup, the event is open to the public and an afternoon of celebrities, seasoned elephant polo players, colourful parades and pachyderms will provide a taste of the excitement to come. Start from October, our national carrier, Thai Airways, will increase one more flight to their schedule out of Sydney to Bangkok. There are three daily services – the new flight will arrive in Bangkok shortly after 2.00 pm which makes it easier for those passengers to connect domestic flights to beach resorts in Phuket, Samui, the mountains regions of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai or other parts of the country. Some of you might have already seen us in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane so far. Next month, we will be at the 1st Brisbane Retirement & Lifestyle Expo at the RNA showgrounds.
