Sawasdee Pee Mai !

Yes, that's right - Happy New Year to you all!  It's Thai New Year, also known as the Songkran Water Festival, which means it is time to get wet.  From 13 - 15 April, the whole country celebrates by throwing water at each other, making it the world's biggest water fight!

With this year's focus on the Thailand Grand Festival in honour of His Majesty the King's 60th anniversary on the throne, the event calendar is jam packed with extraordinary things to keep you entertained.  For the exercise enthusiasts out there, the inaugural Phuket Marathon is scheduled for 18 June at Laguna Phuket.  If you are first across the line, you'll be bringing home US$20,000 cash!  There's also a 10km fun run on the day.

I know you've all been avidly awaiting the release of our new newsletter name ... we have over 120 suggestions and we have chosen THE TUK TUK EXPRESS!  Kudos to Cristina De Oliveira who has won a Thai hamper.

Look out for the super deals to Thailand being advertised over the coming months, with unbelievable value being offered to all parts of the country!

Happy Travelling,
TAT Australia
