Sawasdee Ka
and welcome to our inaugural newsletter!  It has been a long time in the making, so we hope you like it.

2006 is going to be a very special year with Thailand’s focus on His Majesty the King’s 60th anniversary on the thrown.  H.M King Bhumibol is the longest reigning monarch in the world and we would like you to help us celebrate.

Thailand’s wonderful annual festivals will take place as usual, but expect them to be bigger and better than ever before.  We highly recommend a visit to Thailand during Songkran, the Thai New Year festival from 13th – 15th April 2006 - you will be blessed over and again as water is thrown all over you during this exciting water festival!

Tourists and Bangkok locals alike will be spoiled this year with two
Royal Barge Processions, a spectacular display of 52 royal barges stretching over a kilometre down the Chao Phraya River in formation (as pictured above).  Usually only held every two years, this special year will see processions in June and October.  This is definitely worth a trip to Bangkok!

As always, there are countless reasons for a visit to Thailand, so make sure you get there in 2006.

Happy travelling,
