The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched “The Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2009” in collaboration with Visa. The sale celebrates its 11th anniversary this year and continues to be a major event on the Thailand shopping calendar. Additionally, the government is looking to the event to help in boosting both domestic and international tourism.

Visa has been an exclusive sponsor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT) Amazing Thailand Grand Sale (ATGS) campaign since 2000.

 The Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2009 reward shoppers with benefits and promotions from retailers and travel partners in 12 destinations around the country. The campaign will run until 31 August 2009.

The 12 destinations in Thailand include Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Hua Hin, Cha-am, Pattaya, Nakhon Ratchasima, Udorn Thani, Phuket, Krabi, Hat Yai and Samui Island.

In addition to providing convenient and secure payment services for our cardholders, Visa has enhanced the promotions by working with merchants to develop attractive promotions, special prizes and other exclusive benefits Visa cardholders can enjoy. This includes promotions from over 1,200 ATGS merchants nationwide ranging from airlines, hotels, department stores, golf courses, spas, shopping malls and tour operators.

Shoppers who charge 500 baht and above to their Visa card during the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2009 will earn two chances to win Prima Gold jewelry in a lucky draw. There are 100 grand prizes of Prima Gold jewelry worth 100,000 baht each to be won.
