Jetstar recently unveiled its launch fares and flight schedules for its long haul international operation which will commence in November 2006.

The inaugural long haul international service for Jetstar will be on 23 November 2006 from Melbourne International Airport, operating direct to Bangkok.  The first Sydney service will operate the next day, on 24 November, direct to Phuket.

Each international route to Thailand will be serviced three times a week and can be booked through travel agents or on line through www.jetstar.com.  Flights can be packaged with accommodation, resulting in very competitive deals.

The launch fares of $199 each way to Phuket and Bangkok were sold out in one day, with Jetstar selling over 70,000 flights to their six new international destinations on the day of launching.
