Tourism Authority of Thailand, Sydney Office and Thai Airways International invited 9 Australian Travel Writers to travel to Samui during 25th -31st March 2008. This trip was to promote new direct flights between Bangkok-Samui, which commenced on 15th February 2008, as well as to promote Samui tourism. The travel writers visited Angthong Marine National Park, Monkey Training School, Elephant Camp as well as Spa.
