Reinventing Budget Accommodation in Thailand

The expansion of Accor’s economy hotel brands is changing the face of great-value accommodation in Thailand. The beachfront Hotel Ibis Bophut Samui has opened at Samui’s Bophut Beach, and offers great-value accommodation in a prime location just a short walk from the boat pier and Fisherman’s village and 10 minutes’ drive from Samui International Airport.

As well as overlooking the 2km-long white sandy Bophut Beach, Hotel Ibis Bophut Samui features great leisure facilities. Each of its 260 rooms is equipped with a flat screen TV and Internet connection. As in all Ibis hotels, guests can enjoy breakfast at any time between 4am and noon and benefit from 24-hour hot and cold snack and bar service.

A second economy hotel will open on Koh Samui in July next year. All Seasons Samui Chaweng is located just a five-minute walk to Chaweng Beach, Samui’s finest and most popular beach. Adding to the Ibis network, Accor will manage a new Ibis hotel in Bangkok from March 2009. In December 2009 both Ibis Krabi and Ibis Phuket Kata will open.
